DELUHI

DELUHI, name spelled in uppercase, is an Independent Visual Kei  band fromTokyo, Japan. They originally from as " GRAVE SEED", all in uppercase as well. The name was changed only four days after the name "GRAVE SEED" was chosen. DELUHI included Galneryus's ex-bassist Leda (guitar), also know as Yu-To, Juri (vocals), also know as Tsubo, ex- guitarist of Gaara, Aggy (bass), also know as Ryu, and Sujk (drums), also know as Ryusuke.

DELUHI is classified as a "Visual Kei" band due to their appearance one stage, but what sets them aside from being completely called Visual Kei is the music style of the vocals and guitar. Juri has a range with both screaming and clean vocals. This is very noticeable in the song "Orion Once Again". Leda is also another great influence of the band's style. Being in Galneryus  this influence his style of have a speed metal influence as well as having very complex guitar solo's and riffs. He also is on backing vocals. Aggy and Sujk provide an amazing rhythm section to DELUHI. Although at times Aggy's bass lines seem very simple, not all the time just some times, it gives the song its own vibe by going back to the bare bone basics of rock and metal. At times he also does very complex rhythms and styling.. Now with Sujk there is an even more sense of powerful speed rhythm on each track they play. Not only does he provide rhythm and fast speeds, he also is amazing with drum fills and drum solos, as seen in the song "Rebel:Sicks  Shadow:Six".

Now one thing that really makes a statement for DELUHI is their live shows. In their shows they can get the whole crowd going. One thins that causes this is they always mix up the songs. In their recent tour DVD, called "Live: Blitzkrieg", Juri always is chanting the crown in instrumental parts of songs. At the same time the guitar playing of Leda gives the crowd energy in the guitar itself.



Now one thing I find that sets them apart from most bands, not just Visual Kei but all bands, is that they will usually only release singles. Out of all their discography they have 12 singles, one EP, and 1 mini-album.

DELUHI is a great indie Visual Kei in my book. From their studio work to their live playing. They have managed to set themselves apart from many bands with the best and obscure of their ablilities. So I would give this band two thumbs up.

Here is the most recent live show they've done. This is the full show. After they finish the tour DELUHI is going to take a "winter break" in order to work on music. Leda just says to give them time and the next single will come.  So now you have something to look forward to.
